Came here on July 4 weekend during lunch. Busy but fast. ~25 min wait for food which we didn't mind bc we heard good things. All seat yourself outside seating on benches. Oh for the love of god are these sandwiches GOOD!!! Certainly not good for you, but for the soul and taste buds. Got the press and the #1 option, the roasted corn and the steak and rice side. Super full for 2 people. Sandwiches and roasted corn would get again. Wish we had this in my city. Would visit again if I traveled to Seattle which is a big deal!

We saw this place in so many food vlogs about Seattle that we had to make the trip out to Ballard to try it ourselves for a late Thursday lunch. We ordered one thing and one thing only: the #1 Caribbean Roast. It's slow-roasted pork shoulder on a baguette roll with garlic aioli, jalapeños, and onions. Let me just say that I usually don't eat much pork so I'm very selective when I do, and the slow-roasted pork shoulder was amazingly juicy, succulent, and tender!! It melts in your mouth and doesn't require any hard chewing. It's flavored very well with a marinade for a smoky and salty taste without any unpleasant porkiness or meatiness notes. The rest of the sandwich is amazing too -- the garlic aioli provides a creamy and very garlicky complement to the pork. The pickled jalapeños add the acidic and spicy life to the party. The caramelized onions are super caramelized for that Maillard reaction to the max, and I like how they use big pieces of wide onions instead of thin slices. I also like the use of crunchy romaine lettuce instead of iceberg lettuce, which makes it more healthy! The baguette is toasted and holds everything together surprisingly well, since eating the sandwich does get messy. There is plentiful shaded outdoor seating and the food comes out very fast. Definitely a must try in Seattle!

Quick, giant, and delicious. Super friendly staff, cute outdoor seating, good vibes. Would def go back!

Great sandwiches at a fantastic price point. It's getting harder to find reasonably priced food so this really delivers. The sandwiches are big but not big enough to leave you feeling bloated. Even the serving of beans is a meal in its own right - and delicious. Seating is all outdoors but covered so be conscious of temperature if you're eating here. Parking can be tough but street parking is available on side streets. Arrive very early or on off hours because lines form!

I didn't make it to Un Bien last year in Seattle. I didn't make the same mistake twice as it was conveniently close to my Airbnb. It's hard to miss Un Bien as it is very pink and green. My wife and I decided on the Carribean Roast and The Press. These sandwiches were leg-end-ary! Both were crisp and marinated in jerk and spices. What really stood out was the garlic aoili! I couldn't get enough of it and I asked for extra on the sandwich. They exceled at it! This is a must stop lunch spot in Ballard!

Great spot with tasty sandwiches. Added Un Buen to our food spots list for vacation, and it did not disappoint. There was a minimal order line when we visited, Weekend @1:30p, pick line was long and patio was packed. We were lucky & grabbed a bench quickly after ordering. Food wait time was 10-15 minutes, service was good. Ordered: Mexican Coke, Diet Coke and 2 waters, Caribbean Roast, Ham & Cheese, kids quesadilla & The Press and fire roasted corn on the side! The corn was so good, charred to perfection with yummy toppings steamed in foil. Caribbean was really tasty and different from any sandwich I've had. The bread was perfectly toasted on the outside and soft in the middle. Ham & cheese was very flavorful but simple. Press was also very tasty per my husband...he even went back & ordered 2 more to go for later! Yelpers did not disappoint on this place thanks for the recommendations!

Hands down one of the best sandwich places I have been to! I got their Caribbean Roast which came with roasted pork and omggg this pork is so tender and flavorful!! They don't shy away with the filling which I love. It's really saucy and juicy so be careful as it can get messy when you eat it and have napkins ready so you can enjoy your sandwich without stopping!! I went here at around 4 pm and it was really busy so service was a bit slow however they have a nice sitting area where you can sit down and be in the shade which is really nice.

This place is sooooo good!!! I can't stress enough how good this place is. The peeps there are very friendly and chill. Treat you like a regular like if they known you for a long time. And those sandwiches are just too good to try to review. So much flavor it's crazy. This is a must when you are in Seattle.

Location/Parking: Ballard area - street parking Ambiance: Very hole-in-the-wall - go up the counter and order, there's a covered area with some benches to sit on, but you're kinda out in the elements. They have some heaters so you don't freeze. Service: Shout out to Mario - he is old school good customer service - super friendly, helpful. Gave good recommendations to first timers. Food came out reasonably fast. Food: The AMAZING: Caribbean Roast - this is the best. It really is. The flavors - I can't even describe. I've had it many times before, but it never gets old. I told my friends it's the best sandwich and hyped it up, and it totally lived up to the hype. Palomilla Steak - Mario recommended this one, and I can't believe I'm saying this but I think it's as good as the Caribbean Roast - just depends on what type of meat you're in the mood for. I will 100% get this one in the future. The not-so-good Bien Salad (w/ caribbean roast meat) - It's small. Not a lot of veggies or meat. The vinaigrette didn't go well. We only got it because someone was going no-carb. Recommendation: This is the day you cheat on your low carb diet and get the sandwich. Would HIGHLY recommend either the Caribbean Roast or the Palomilla Steak. Get lots of napkins, you'll need them. It's a delicious mess in all the good ways.

I was visiting from Canada where we don't get a lot of cuban sandwiches so I was very excited to try this place. I got their chicken thigh cuban sandwich with extra garlic sauce and it was delicious! This place is mostly for takeout with limited bench seating in the shed. Their service was super fast! We got our sandwiches after 5mins of placing the order, we initially planned on taking it to go but my friend recommended that we eat it there while its still hot. I will say it is quiet messy to eat the sandwich so wouldn't recommend this place for a first date, but the taste is really good. My partner usually struggles because he is vegetarian but their vegeterian option was also really good, the tofu they used was so well marianated and really added flavour to the sandwich. Their pricing it pretty good for the portion size, I was honestly full after eating half the sandwich! Next time I'm in Seattle, I would definitely go again :)
